Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) helps people who struggle with intense and long lasting difficult emotions and who have difficulties with relationships. It is also proven to help with trauma, adult ADHD and addictions.
DBT was developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder and is proven to be the most effective treatment for this problem. Treatment borderline personality disorder experience extreme swings in their emotions, experience black-and-white thinking, and have frequent emotional crises. They often don’t have methods for coping with these sudden, intense surges of emotion and feel misunderstood. DBT provides methods for developing skills that help people who often have been resistant to treatment.
